Typhoon Haiyan

Delta Partners partnered with Alagang Kapatid Foundation to help bring funds during Typhoon Haiyan

Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was one of the strongest tropical cyclones and deadliest typhoon ever recorded in the Philippines.  The Philippines faced a humanitarian crisis days after the typhoon hit much of the region, where more than nine million people have been affected. People were left homeless and were struggling to survive without adequate food, shelter or clean drinking water.  With less than a week to deploy emergency funds, Delta Partners raised a total of Php 1,000,000 (USD24k) from our own employees throughout our offices.

Delta Partners partnered with Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of the PLDT Group, a leading telecommunications service provider in the Philippines to help us deploy our donation to those who needed it most.  The foundation had access to the affected areas and had the means to send our funds to help the victims with food, clean drinking water and clothing.  The foundation has continued to support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan not only during the aftermath but also in projects to rebuild the town by providing support in building homes and schools in the affected areas.
