Foreign direct investment flows to Africa has increased by nearly 7% to an estimated $56 billion in 2013, a fifth of which went to the top recipient South Africa, according to a United Nations report. FDI inflows to South Africa more than doubled to $10.3 billion in 2013 according to a study by UNCTAD.
