COMMUNITY CENTER IN NIGER In cooperation with Telecom Sans Frontiers (TSF) organization, Delta Partners helped to build a Community Centre in Abalak, Niger. Delta Partners donated USD 30,000 (50% direct employee contribution, 50% company donation) to narrow the digital divide and help local communities use ICT to their benefit.
COMMUNITY CENTRE IN ABALAK, NIGER Abalak is a remote and vulnerable area in Niger (one of the poorest countries in the world). In cooperation with Vétérinaires Sans Frontières (an association working in the fields of land and natural resources management, environment and sustainable energy, agriculture and agricultural development) and with our financial support, TSF installed a community telecommunication centre in Abalak. The centre has been officially inaugurated on July 9th 2010 after 6 months of intensive preparation. Equipped with five state-of-the-art computers and VSAT connectivity, the centre offers Internet service, phone lines (national and international), as well as computer and internet trainings adapted to the needs of the beneficiaries are also provided.

LATEST NEWS FROM TSF September 2010 Activity Report (13 July - 30 September 2010) Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) and the NGO Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium (VSF Belgium) extended their collaboration in Niger to open on July 9th a new Telecommunications Community Centre in Abalak, located in one of the world’s most remote areas.
