DAY ONE |
| 7:30 | AIRPORT TRANSFER |
|
I call a taxi through the very efficient Singapore transport system and we stroll along the avenues and to the airport.

WEEKLY PLANNING AND PRIORITY SETTING |
|
While in the lounge, we prepare for the week ahead. I usually catch up with all the emails from the weekend or even early Monday as the client gets up very early. I liaise with the colleagues who are from other offices and hence already at the client site and organize the team work.

|
We arrive at the client site. In the plane I have been reviewing the latest version of the document that the team has been working on with regards to a new value proposition for the mobile broadband so upon arrival I give them the version with my comments and we go through it.

|
On another of the workstream that we are involved in we present weekly updates to the C-levels where we share the update of the work done and the main findings for action.

The team in charge of broadband has reviewed all my comments and has some questions which we resolve

TEAM UPDATE |
|
Every week we have a team update on Monday evening where we all share the updates in each workstream. We are 7 so there are always a lot of new things happening and I like to make sure that we are all on the same page

We go for dinner back at the hotel. There is a lovely terrace by the pool and we tend to all meet there for dinner and some team discussions. We have some colleagues in another workstream with the same client and we see them for dinner

There is a big meeting on the other workstream this week so I meet with the other senior team and the Partner and we go through the major content

We are kicking off a new workstream next week so we are doing an internal round of meetings with all involved parties to gather everyone's feedback

There are two ongoing small documents that I need to review one with regards to some organizational changes we are proposing and the governance mechanisms that follow and the other around the launch of a new product

I have lunch with one of the team members to provide feedback. I like having feedback sessions with my team members very often so that everybody knows where they stand. Today I am sitting with one of the seniors in my team to go over her progress

We are going to be involved into a new project soon that is related to a big product launch the client is developing with some device manufacturers. The product is extremely interesting and we get a brief of what it is about

We are doing a small piece of work related to the call center so we meet the Head of the CC to discuss some of the findings with her. There is some interesting discussion and we leave with additional inputs for our analysis

The CCO, out main client, was not available till today to have a discussion on one of the main areas of our work but he suggested that I and the partner go for lunch with him. He takes us to a nice local place where we have wonderful food

We have been invited by the sales teams to visit some retailers, distributors and field employees in the region surrounding the capital. We meet the regional team and we leave with a huge box full of goodies and cakes to take back home

I have some work to do related to other internal work at the company (training, recruitment, a white paper, etc.) so I decide to have room service to advance on the long list of tasks

Since it is already Thursday we take a taxi to the airport. On the way I continue the discussion with one of my sub-teams both in the taxi and in the lounge. The airport is usually quite busy at this time but the overall check in and immigration process tends to be smooth if at times slow

I get home at night and since I already had dinner in the plane go out for a small walk. The evening temperature in Singapore is best and I enjoy the nice walk along the marina

I get a copy of the weekly update to Excom that we will present next week from my team and I spend some time reviewing and providing my comments. I also discuss it with the Partner so we are on the same page on the approach

On Fridays we are all in the office so we try to have lunch together. However, today I have to conduct a phone interview with a prospective candidate and I take advantage of lunch to have a sandwich in the meantime

The Office day is the regular meeting we have with all the company where we discuss the business evolution and the topic of the month. The potential leads and internal matters are shared and we have some discussions and Q&A sessions

On Office Days we always go out for drinks somewhere. This time we make our way to a nice restaurant by the pier that has drinks too. We eat and then move to a nice bar nearby. The fun doesn't end until the early hours of the Saturday
