Press releases

Delta Partners, the leading advisory and investment firm specialized in the telecoms, media and technology industries, is honored to advise some of the world’s most groundbreaking tech startups as recognized by Fast Company and Forbes.

Delta Partners is the financial advisor for five of Fast Company’s top 10 most innovative Middle Eastern startups. The firm also advises four of the top 5 startups, according to Forbes’ ranking of most promising UAE startups.

The firm has raised more than $150 million for startups in the past 18 months. Most recently, Delta Partners advised e-commerce book retailer Jamalon on its $10 million fundraising round in March 2019.

Delta Partners continues to advise a wide range of tech ventures, including e-commerce platforms such as Wadi Groceries, The Modist, Mumzworld and The Luxury Closet among others. Delta Partners is also supporting the video streaming platform BluTV.

Delta Partners has also advised a strategic investor in e-hailing app Careem’s $200 million investment round in 2018, which later secured a successful exit when Uber Technologies acquired Careem for $3.1 billion in March.

Separately, Delta Partners’ Ventures business has invested in health and HR software startup Bayzat and delivery platform Fetchr, and the firm supports other promising startups including Smartpipe, Freedompop, Orion Labs and Opanga Networks.

“It’s exciting to see regional tech scenes have their achievements recognized and we are proud of our role in helping the ecosystem grow. Clearly, these hubs are booming, and we are happy that our expertise is helping these companies flourish,” said Victor Sunyer, Partner of Delta Partners’ Corporate Finance Business, who advised on several of these tech startups.

Delta Partners provides an extensive set of corporate finance services, from M&A (fundraising, buy or sell-side mandates) and transactional services (due diligence, market assessment) to broader financial advisory.

“We’re pleased to have Delta Partners advising us on our journey. Their regional expertise and distribution network have been key to ensure our fundraising and expansion plans have been met,” said Mona Ataya, Co-founder and CEO of Mumzworld, the leading mother, baby and child e-commerce in the Middle East, and leads the Forbes ranking “Up and coming companies in the Middle East in 2018”.
